Volunteer Opportunties
We know that we are stronger when we work together! Our volunteers truly make an impact in our community and with our clients. Whether you are seeking a flexible commitment arrangement or a set schedule each week, A Safe Place has an opportunity for you to be apart of the team. We have opportunities to work in:
- Administrative Office (episodic support of organizing, filing, correspondence, data entry, etc.)
- The Shelter (cooking/baking, landscaping/maintenance, grocery/donation pickup, and/or supporting the child & youth program)
- Donations & New Beginnings Program (sorting donation items, organizing & maintaining inventory, creating hampers for clients/families etc.)
- Fundraising (annual Golf Tournament in August, annual Tree of Hope campaign booth in November/December etc.)
Here are the expected steps in the volunteer application process:
- submit online application
- attend interview with volunteer coordinator, and program staff as applicable
- complete and submit clear background and record checks
- attend general orientation to A Safe Place
- complete any role specific orientation/training
