A Safe Place

In Kind Donation Centre

Many of the women and children arriving at A Safe Place, have few or no personal belongings.  You can provide essentials and other thoughtful gifts to make them feel at home, and remind them just how special they are.

We are happy to accept your in-kind donations, by appointment at our administrative office located in Sherwood Park.
Call 780-464-7232 or email communications@asafeplace.ca.

The DO’s and DONT’s of donating.

  • DO call or email.
    • Our needs change from time to time. Call to find out how what’s needed most.
  • DON’T come to the shelter.
    • Residents need privacy to feel safe. Staff at the administrative office can assist you.
  • DO make an appointment.
    • Our small, but mighty team, needs a heads up.  Call 780-464-7232 to arrange drop off.
  • DON’T be discouraged if we can’t accept a donation.
    • Our space, like our team, is small.  If we can’t accept a donation, we will do our best to connect you to a partnering community agency who can.
  • DO remember that new is best.
    • COVID-19 presents new challenges for everyone.  This means we may only be able to accept new items.

“Some gifts are big. Some gifts are small. But the gifts that come from the heart are the best of all.”  -Tinku Razoria
