Aecon Industrial has a long-standing commitment to supporting the communities where they live and work. “Our team is proud to support this community. We understand the importance of giving back and have chosen to match dollar-for-dollar the funds generated by the bottle drive. We encourage others to join us by donating,” said Scott Waters, Vice President, Strategy & Business Development at Aecon Industrial.
Since the onset of COVID-19, donations have slowed and many fundraising events have been put on hold. While A Safe Place continues to receive core funding from government sources, donations continue to be critical. “Donations fund building upgrades, supplies, and programs that greatly enhance our quality of support. We are extremely grateful to Aecon for leading this project, and working to build a better, safer community with us,” said Karen Kadatz, Executive Director at A Safe Place.
