How to clear your browser's cache

PC Instructions for Internet Explorer Users:

  1. Select Tools from the pull-down menu (IE 5.01 SP1 or higher).
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. In the second section where it says Temporary Internet Files, click on the Delete Files button, check the option for Delete all offline content, and then click OK.
  4. When clearing is complete (hourglass returns to mouse pointer), click OK.

PC Instructions for Netscape Users:

  1. Select Edit from the pull-down menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. In the left table, select Advanced.
  4. Select Cache.
  5. Click on the Clear Disk Cache button, and then click on OK.
  6. Click on the Clear Memory Cache button, and then click on OK.

Instructions for Firefox Users:

  1. Select Tools and select Options on the menu bar.
  2. Select the Privacy Icon on the Option menu bar to open the Privacy Properties.
  3. Select Clear across from the Cache option.
  4. Select Ok to return to the browser main page.
  5. Exit and relaunch the browser.

Macintosh Instructions for Internet Explorer Users:

  1. Select Edit from the pull-down menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. In the left table, select Web Browser.
  4. Select Advanced.
  5. In the second section where it says Cache, click on the Empty Now button.

Macintosh Instructions for Netscape Users:

  1. Select Edit from the pull-down menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. In the left table, select Advanced.
  4. Select Cache.
  5. Click on the Clear Disk Cache button, and then click on OK.

Macintosh Instructions for Safari Users:

  1. Select Empty Cache from the Safari menu.
  2. Click Empty.
